Corona virus: Why are there doubts about the data collected for testing for COD 19 disease in Pakistan? June 24 was a difficult day for the provincial capital, Lahore, according to daily statistics from Punjab, the province most affected by coronavirus deaths in Pakistan. In those 24 hours, code-19 disease claimed 55 lives in Lahore, a record so far. In the last five days before June 24, 119 people died of the corona virus in Lahore, an estimated 24 deaths per day. But when the provincial figures for June 25 came out, it was surprising that not a single death had taken place in Lahore. The BBC contacted Mayo Hospital, the largest coronavirus hospital in Lahore, for treatment. According to hospital data, there were three confirmed and five unconfirmed deaths from Code 19 on June 24, two certified and five unconfirmed deaths on June 25, and one confirmed and three unconfirmed deaths on June 26. The reason for collecting the three-day data was to allay fears that deaths after the count de

Corona virus: Where in the world is code 19 spreading and where is it declining?

Corona virus: Where in the world is code 19 spreading and where is it declining?

On June 28, the number of people infected with the corona virus worldwide exceeded 10 million, after which the head of the World Health Organization said that a new and dangerous phase of the fight against the virus has now begun. The spread of the virus has been largely contained in many countries in Western Europe and Asia, but it is also spreading rapidly in many other parts of the world.

It took ninety days for one million people to be infected when the corona virus began to spread, but the number increased from nine million to ten million in just eight days, which could give an idea of   the rapid spread of the virus. And an official working in a Latin American country says the situation could get worse because
"we only got this number of people who had their tests done."
Where and why are victims growing so fast?

The surge is seen in the US continent, South Asia and a few countries in Africa. The United States has the highest number of certified victims and deaths worldwide and is now seeing a sharp rise. Over the past few days, more than 40,000 positive cases have been reported daily in the United States, and the virus is spreading rapidly in the states of Arizona, Florida and Texas. Contrary to concerns, this is not the second wave of the virus, but an increase in the spread of the virus and has been seen in states where lock down restrictions were quickly lifted.

The United States is followed by Brazil and is the second country in the world where more than one million victims have been identified. The two largest cities in the country, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, have been diagnosed with the highest number of victims, but the virus is spreading to other parts of the country and there is a risk of a lack of testing. The actual number of patients will be much higher.
India, the world's second most populous country, is experiencing a large number of victims. A few days ago, a record 15,000 patients came there in one day. And because the number of tests has not increased in some states, it is doubtful that patients will appear in the coming days.

But why is this happening?

The World Health Organization (WHO) Special Envoy for Code 19 David Nabaro says the corona virus has become a disease of the poor. And when the whole family lives in a small room, it is almost impossible to maintain social distance and can't even wash their hands regularly. In this case, the risk of getting the virus is greatly increased. In some places, the spread of the virus is much higher than in other areas. The rate of infection, i.e. the number of people who test positive, has become very high in some countries.

Half of those tested in the Central American country of Mexico tested positive, much higher than in Italy or New York, where the virus wreaked havoc. In the South American country of Ecuador, authorities had to destroy the bodies of those killed by the corona virus on the road because the death toll was so high and they did not have the capacity to properly dispose of them.

On the other hand, where there is a lack of budget, safety equipment and clothing are not available for the medical staff. The situation is similar in countries that are poor and cannot afford long-term lock downs. The World Health Organization's David Nabarro says the spread of the virus can still be reduced, but that the international community must come together immediately.

"I do not want to give the sad news, but I am very worried about the countries that are not getting the equipment and not getting the financial aid.

Political expediency
The fact is that there are other factors involved in the spread of the virus, such as rulers and politicians in various countries who have rejected health proposals.
US President Donald Trump has on several occasions taken the severity of the disease seriously, sometimes blaming China and sometimes the World Health Organization. He has repeatedly called for the economy to open up and praised Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is a Republican like Trump, for ending the first lockdown in his state, and experts According to the decision was the reason for such a rapid increase in the number of victims.

The US government in April made it mandatory to wear a public mask, but the decision has now led to political divisions. Texas did not push for the decision to wear the mask, citing restrictions on individual freedoms as the state of California, where Democrats rule, says "science justifies wearing the mask." ۔ '

It should be noted that US President Donald Trump himself does not wear a mask.
There is a similar situation in Brazil, where President Jair Bolsonaro likened the virus to the "cold" and prevented authorities from doing anything they suspected would affect the economy. He was avoiding wearing a mask himself, but a court in the country has imposed a mandatory requirement on him to wear a mask. In view of such attitudes, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, said: "The greatest threat from the virus is the lack of consensus and unity in world leadership.

In which countries is the epidemic not out of control?
The Pacific incident gave New Zealand the advantage of being an island that could easily distinguish itself from other countries. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, she has performed well and her leadership has been praised internationally, which is why New Zealand recently spent 24 days without identifying any victims.

New Zealand's no-patient record was broken when people coming from abroad were diagnosed with the virus, but experts were not bothered by it, but pointed out that it proves that testing and surveillance systems Can be used effectively. Meanwhile, South Korea has almost stopped the spread of the virus with the help of technology.

The mayor of the capital, Seoul, has said that if 30 new victims come forward for three days in a row, we will re-impose the decision to maintain social distances. But the most important of all the successful countries is Vietnam, which claims that there has not been a single death in the country so far.

What will happen in the coming days?
One thing that is not yet clear is the spread of the virus in African countries. So far, the corona virus has not spread as fast as expected. Some people say that this is because there is not much testing capacity, so the victims cannot be diagnosed.

Secondly, there are more underage people in the population as a whole, so the virus may not have affected so much.
And a third reason could be that because African communities are not in close contact with foreign countries, the virus could not spread there. But the fear is that a new wave of the virus could re-emerge and it must be constantly prepared for, so that if the epidemic spreads further in developing countries, it could be very difficult.
